******GORDON MACDONALD WORKSHOP SERIES******


Join celebrated artist Gordon MacDonald for a special workshop series that will focus entirely on COLOUR. These workshops will be divided into three parts: The first will be a highly informative lecture/ demo on colour, and our perception of it in reference to painting. This lecture is suitable for anyone and everyone interested in painting – all skill levels are welcome! The second lecture will dive further into the study of colour and it’s practical application in painting. Finally, the third segment in this series will be dedicated to those who want to paint alongside Gordon’s instruction: working on a 4” x 5” surfaces and applying the information presented by Gordon in previous workshops.

FIRST LECTURE: Wednesday November 28th
Lecture and Demo on Colour and Perception
This is an affordable lecture, open to artists and non-artists of all skill levels.
Cost $50 tax included
Time: 6:30pm –8:30pm
Please arrive by 6:15pm, as we would like to begin on time, without interruption.
Limit of 25 people

SECOND LECTURE: 
Either Tuesday, December 4th or Tuesday, January 8th
(date will be determined by demand and preference) This lecture/demo will dive deeper into the study of colour and perception. This class is perfect for anyone that has attended previous workshops by Gordon.
Cost: $85 tax incl. (or $150 for both second and third part)
Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm
Limited space of 10 students.

THIRD SEGMENT: Painting with Gordon MacDonald 
Either Sunday, December 9th or Sunday, January 13th
(date will be determined by demand and preference)
Cost: $85 tax incl. (or $150 for both second and third part)
Time: 2-5pm
Please arrive before two, so that there is ample time to prepare your station.
A list of materials necessary will be provided to those interested in taking this class.
Limited space of 10 students.
If there are allergies or sensitivity to oil, please be advised these classes may not be suitable for you. The solvents and paint will be kept to a minimum.

All workshops will be held at Argyle Fine Art, 1559 Barrington Street, Halifax, NS. There is plenty of parking around us for those who are driving in.
