HIGH TIME for ART at HIGH NOON 2014- Basil Doucette

YES- it's NOON again already!

If you haven't already noticed, we're in full swing of HIGH NOON at NOON again! From now until January 15th, we'll be once again be doing HIGH NOON at NOON...where we will be featuring ONE piece of art at HIGH NOON that will be priced at a special price but for just 24 hours! The works selected for these days, are works that the gallery and artist that created them feel is some of their best works...but haven't found a home yet. We'd like to introduce you to these works and hope that some of them find a home with you.

Today's HIGH NOON at NOON is by self-taught/folk artist Basil Doucette from Yarmouth County.. Basil is 78 years old this year, but still busy making wonderful, whimsical folk art works. His favourite things to carve are birds and squirrels, and sometimes the odd beaver just in time for Canada Day.  We've had this larger work by Basil since 2009 and feel like it really needs to find it's roost. It would be a great addition to any collection!

This work is called "Hawk" and is a wood carving by Basil Doucette. It measures 15" high and is painted with acrylic, signed and dated on the bottom. He's just a charming Hawk looking for a home to watch over....will it be yours?

SOLD

Until tomorrow at HIGH NOON this work is priced at $95.  After that time, it will all go back to it's  original price of $165.
