Pre-Shrunk 2018 Previews Begin!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year….PRE-SHRUNK time when all the art on our walls measure just 4” x 5” and are priced at just $175. It’s a beloved show for all our participants, visitors and the curators of the show, as there is such variety and inclusiveness displayed everywhere you look.  Our youngest artist is just 8 years old! Each work is priced at $175 and there are hundreds to choose from! All mediums are displayed too, so expect to see paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, drawing and more! The Opening Reception is Friday, January 19th, 7pm-9pm but the show continues until February 10th. This is Argyle Fine Art's 12th year of hosting this show and every year it gets better and bigger. This year we will have 400 works and maybe a few more too.
Here's a few sneak peeks of the works we have received. Each day we will share a few new works here as well as on our various social media sites. Check out our Facebook Page, Twitter and Instagram for more images.

HIGH NOON AT NOON: Better Late Than Never!

Well folks, we tried so hard to keep our promise of uploading the last few HIGH NOON at NOON features at NOON on time this week, but the days flew away for that we are sorry for leaving some of you high and dry. So we'll post a few more features here today and tomorrow. We definitely feel the need to clone ourselves this week- too much to do and not enough time!

Today's delicious offering has been prompted by  our constant craving for baked goods today. This painting is by George Spencer of the ever popular VACHON FLAKIE, and was part of our Canadiana Show way back in 2014. Surprisingly, it's still here and waiting for just the right person. Calorie free! Perfect for your new year diets! George is a self-taught oil painter who usually paints more traditional still life subject matter, but we love it when he mixes it up a bit. This work is called Vachon Flakie , Oil on Board , measures
11" x 14" and ready to hang as is.

UNTIL TOMORROW at NOON...this work is $325 but it's regular price is $500

HIGH NOON is a time sensitive "sale" on  selected works that the gallery and artist that created them feel is some of their best works...but haven't found a home yet. We'd like to introduce you to these works and hope that some of them find a home with you. We feature ONE  piece of art at HIGH NOON that will be priced at a special price but for just 24 hours!

Each January we do an inventory which also means we are finding some works that are still looking for homes that we feel are wonderful!  Our annual HIGH NOON AT NOON begins today and continues until January 13th, 2018.

HIGH NOON at NOON: Briana Corr-Scott

It's a cold winter's day, but the day is always made better when we set our sights on the artworks by Briana Corr-Scott. Today we're continuing our HIGH NOON AT NOON event with a featured work by her from a few years ago now. Although her work has changed since this time, it's exciting to see where she's been and where she is going with her works . We are looking forward to a new body of work by her this Spring.

This work is called "Zinnia Study" , Oil on Board, 12" x 12". Even more beautiful in person- there are so many layers and textures! It's ready to hang as it is, or you could frame it as well. This bloom can last the whole winter through and beyond.

Until tomorrow at HIGH NOON, this work sells for $385 and it's regular price is $500

Happy 2018- HIGH NOON AT NOON BEGINS: Gordon MacDonald

Well it's cold outside, so we are sharing special artworks that you can enjoy from the cozy comfort of your  home or office at special prices each afternoon at NOON, for our annual HIGH NOON AT NOON event. Each January we do an inventory which also means we are finding some works that are still looking for homes that we feel are wonderful!  Our annual HIGH NOON AT NOON begins today and continues until January 13th, 2018.

Today's HIGH NOON AT NOON is by Gordon MacDonald who is known for painting skies and atmosphere like no other. He doesn't necessarily paint a specific place all the time, but rather focuses on sharing his experience of a space to create a feeling or an emotion associated with them. His works are highly meditative and to many also give us a sense of home, no matter where we roam.

This work is called "Hard Rain", Oil on Panel and measures 10"x12". This painting is especially beautiful in person , and it really captures what it looks and feels like to see rain off in the distance while the blue sky is still above. As all paintings by Gordon, this work is better appreciated in person.

Until tomorrow at HIGH NOON, this work sells for $550 and it's regular price is $800
